Call for Submissions for the PhD Dissertation Showcase
We are pleased to announce the extended abstract submissions under “PhD Dissertation Showcase” as part of the MDM 2024 conference. This special session forum will offer a unique platform for recent PhD graduates (last 3 years) to discuss and disseminate their innovative contributions related to the areas of mobile data management published in their PhD Dissertation. The primary objective of this forum is to showcase recent significant innovation within the MDM areas of research, provide a platform for the recent PhD graduates to discuss their ongoing work after graduation and explore further collaborative research opportunities with the attendees of MDM.
We invite submissions from PhD graduates who completed their PhD dissertations between January 2020 and December 2023 from any part of the world. Interested participants should submit a 3-page extended summary of their work, including references. A peer-review process will ensure the quality and relevance of the proposed manuscript. The accepted submissions will appear in the proceedings of MDM 2024.
Submission Guidelines
All submissions need to follow IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscript Formatting Guidelines. See templates here: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html. The author’s affiliation can be either their current affiliation or their PhD university affiliation. In either case, the first paragraph of the introduction section should include the title of the dissertation, the university, the year and names and affiliations of advisors/committee co-chairs.
In addition to the 3-page summary, the authors should submit a copy of the signature page of their PhD dissertation and provide a URL to the dissertation if available.
